Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information on the website, during checkout, and inside the app.

1. Controller

FootageFlow (Zita-Kaiser-Straße 11, 79106 Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany) is responsible for this website and the desktop application. Contact: privacy@footageflow.app.

2. What we collect on the website

Basic server logs (IP address, user agent) for security and uptime. Optional analytics (page views and referrers) are processed in aggregate without creating marketing profiles.

3. Purchases via Paddle

When you buy FootageFlow, Paddle acts as Merchant of Record. Paddle processes payment information, billing address, VAT/GST handling, and fraud prevention in line with their privacy policy.

4. FootageFlow desktop app

The app scans and processes files locally. We do not upload footage or metadata. Automatic updates check for new versions by requesting a version manifest; no file contents are sent.

5. Support

If you email support, we receive your email address and message contents. We keep tickets for troubleshooting history and delete them upon request where legally possible.

6. Data retention

Billing records are retained as required by law. Server logs rotate regularly. Support correspondence is kept only as long as needed for service quality or legal obligations.

7. Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data, and object to processing where applicable. Contact privacy@footageflow.app to exercise these rights.
